Coach Sneakers: A Review of Sneakers by Coach

Custom Search

So high-end mall brand Coach has finally done it - put out a line of Coach sneakers. Of course, their fabric is splashed all over these shoes and they're priced high. However, can a deck shoe really be worth $100? For a full review, keep reading.

Coach Prices

Most Coach sneakers range in price from $80 to $200, with most pairs coming in at just over $100. For designer sneakers, the prices are reasonable and comparable to brands like Puma and LaCoste. The company is clearly cashing in on their high-profile brand and the popularity of high-end sneakers.

Comfort and Fit

These sneakers are made for women with narrow feet - most of the fits are slim with a low bridge. Meanwhile, their Audrina-style, a Ked-like shoe, offers zero support and a sole so thin, you can practically see through it. After ten minutes of walking in these shoes, you'll be wishing for more support and a better fit.

These shoes appear to be about the Coach C-Logo plastered all over them and not a shoe that fits well and offers ongoing support throughout the day. If you're going to spend money on an uncomfortable shoe, you may as well spring for high heels.

Quality of the Shoes

Overall, the quality is decent for a shoe that should cost around $30. Close to $100 for a deck shoe that doesn't have a sole to speak of is a little extreme, as is $200 for a sneaker that offers no form of athletic support.

Essentially, if you're looking for a high-quality sports shoe that's going to support your joints and knees, cradle your foot and last for a long time - you should start looking elsewhere. These shoes will, at best, last you a single season.

Style and Design of the Shoes

If you like a C-logo plastered all over your shoes, then this line of sneakers from Coach is perfect for you. What's more classy than proclaiming to the world that you spent $100 on a pair of mediocre sneakers?

Bragging about a Prada or Gucci product is one thing, but showing off the logo of a middle America outlet mall brand is tacky with a capital T. While the shape and look of the shoes are great, that Coach fabric has got to go. It just screams “Daddy gave me $100 for graduation and I bought a pair of Coach sneakers! Oh my God!”

The Final Word

Obviously, this is not the shoe for me. The quality does not match the price point and the Coach signature fabric is overdone and classless. Obviously, if you're a Coach-addict, you're going to buy a pair of Coach sneakers, but if you can - please try to avoid it.
